What this site is

"The Tribunal Explained" is an independent explainer on the history of Poland's Constitutional Tribunal and the disputes around it from 1982 to October 2026. Every topic is presented at three levels of detail, in Polish and in English.

Independence

The site is not affiliated with any public institution, political party, NGO or party to the dispute. It takes no position on what should be done. It carries no advertising.

The texts are for information only. For individual matters, consult a qualified lawyer.

Status

The information reflects the situation as of 31 October 2026, 04:00 CET. The situation is changing fast; changes are logged on Changelog and corrections.

Privacy

The site uses no cookies and no tracking pixels. Its statistics tools store nothing in your browser, so the site shows no consent banner.

Four tools count visits. Each sees only aggregate data: pages visited, where the visit came from, approximate location (country or city), device type, operating system and browser.

  • Cloudflare Web Analytics: a script from Cloudflare.
  • Plausible and Umami: tools running on a server in Germany. Their scripts and data pass through stats.trybunal.net. They use the IP address only to estimate location and to tell visits apart. They do not store it.
  • GoAccess: a report built from a pageview log kept by stats.trybunal.net. The log holds the IP address with its last part removed. Entries are deleted after 120 days at the latest.

The site does not combine this data with other sources and does not build reader profiles.

Rules and sources

The method, the source hierarchy and the quality checks are described on Methodology and sources. Datasets: Data.
